Privacy policy
What we collect, why, and what you can do about it.
Last updated: 10 October 2026
This privacy policy explains what personal data Captain Seas ("we") collects when you play the game or use this website, why, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and what you can do about it.
1. Data we collect
Your account
- E-mail address and login name — to identify your account and let you sign in.
- Password — stored only as a secure hash, never in readable form. Accounts created with Google have no password until you set one.
- Google account — if you sign in with Google, we receive your Google account ID, e-mail address and name from Google. We never receive your Google password.
Playing the game
- Player data — your pirate names, ships, items, gold, quests, guild and game progress.
- Activity — when you last signed in or played, so we know an account is still in use (see section 6).
- Technical data — IP address and technical details in our server logs, used to keep the game running and secure.
Rewards and purchases
- Crystals and rewards — your crystal balance, reward amounts and payout history.
- Wallet address — the crypto wallet address you connect (for example with MetaMask) to receive rewards.
- Purchases — what you bought and when. Payments are handled by Stripe, Google Play or the App Store; we never receive your card or bank details.
Advertisements — if you watch ads to earn crystals, the ad provider (Unity Ads) shows the ad and may collect device information under its own privacy policy.
Cookies — this website uses a session cookie to keep you signed in, and a short-lived cookie while you sign in with Google. We do not use tracking cookies without your consent.
2. Why we use it
- To run your account and let you sign in, including with Google.
- To save your game progress and run the game, including guilds and multiplayer.
- To calculate and pay out rewards, and to deliver purchases.
- To keep the game fair and secure, and to prevent fraud.
- To e-mail you about your account, for example to verify your address, reset your password, or warn you before an inactive account is deleted.
3. Who we share it with
We do not sell your data. We only share what is needed with:
- Google — when you sign in with Google.
- Stripe, Google Play and the App Store — to process purchases and subscriptions.
- Unity Ads — to show advertisements.
- Public blockchains — when rewards are paid out, the payout to your wallet address is recorded on a public blockchain and is visible to anyone.
- Our hosting provider — which stores our servers and databases.
4. Security
Data travels encrypted (HTTPS), passwords are stored as secure hashes, and access to our servers and databases is restricted.
5. Your rights
You can view and change your account details by signing in on this website. You can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, or to delete it — e-mail support@captain-seas.com. You can also complain to your data protection authority.
6. How long we keep your data
- While your account exists, we keep your account and player data so you can continue playing.
- Inactive accounts may be deleted after a long period without signing in or playing. Before that happens we e-mail you twice: two weeks and 48 hours before the deletion date. Signing in before that date keeps your account. Accounts with running premium or open rewards are not deleted this way.
- Records of reward payouts and purchases are kept as long as the law requires for our financial administration and to prevent fraud. They contain only internal player numbers, amounts and dates.
7. Deleting your account
You can delete your account yourself at any time, in the game (Settings → Account → Delete account) or on our delete account page. Deletion is immediate and removes your account, all your pirates and their game data. Unclaimed rewards are forfeited; premium subscriptions must be cancelled in Google Play or the App Store. We keep only the payout and purchase records described in section 6, and an anonymous note that an account was deleted.
8. Children
Captain Seas is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Changes
We may update this policy. Changes are published on this page with a new date at the top.
